Welcome!
My goal is to explore and make meaning in relation to everyday issues of life.
I am a gay guy, now in my mid-60's, transplanted from the rural north to the urban east back in the mid-1970's. I earned a B.A. in Religion from Temple University in 1981 and two subsequent seminary degrees: A Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) in 1986 and Master of Sacred Theology (STM) in 2011. I am a Post-Denominational Theologian. My pronouns are he/him.
Between 1986 and 1994 I worked in the field of HIV/AIDS providing AIDS education, (addictions) counseling, HIV pre- and post-test counseling, and social work. In 1994 I was promoted to program analyst in the AIDS Office of the Philadelphia Dept. of Health where I worked for fifteen years. In 2009 I retired from the city to pursue my interests in storytelling, writing and acting. I recently deemphasized both storytelling and acting, placing renewed energies into writing fiction and plays focussed on gay issues and social themes, with an occasional excursion into 'surrealist' terrain.
I live with my husband Ed in Center City Philadelphia.
I hope you enjoy looking through my website.
Blessings &
Shalom,
Daniel
Many thanks to Chuck Walt of Solon Springs, WI, for the surprise picture he took of me, above, while on a fishing trip on Lake St. Croix on his pontoon boat in the Summer of 2015.
